2.2 Exhaust Sections Change & DRL bumpers
Hey Guys,

The misses has asked what I want for My birthday and have been thinking of changing the center and back box section of my defenders exhaust to a straight though BUT would this 1.cause any issues?, 2. Will it give a nice grunt sound?

If not then will look at other ideas like a DRL bumper as " Tune my defender " do them for £165+vat unless you guys know of somewhere better for the same ish price? And are they easy to fit to a b
Dumb ass like me lol Whistle

Cheers

Stu

I'd go for an Alive exhaust. Mmmmmmmmm very nice, high on my wish list. Am sure Gary will look after you if you tell him you're from Defender2.

I have done it . Centre box off and straight through pipe to replace , also back box off with the stainless end pipe welded back on for aesthetics . Very little noise differance and no grrrrr noise ..... Until the DPF does a regen then it's sounds lovely , people turn there heads . Wish it sounded like that all the time . A little extra performance can be felt as both boxes are only restrictors and not silencers . Is it worth doing ? Yes . I will post pics tomorrow .

As promised ,
Wheel off today for the pics . Showing mid section pipe to replace the box .
Rear box off showing end pipe replaced with a turn downward and new bracket in place .
Hope this helps . I wanted the DPF off when I got the vehicle BUT now it's fine and keep it on as a big job and probably an MOT issue .
