Greece 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Keswick Green
Northern Greece winter camp.
First weekend of December we went for a winter camp-excursion to North Greece,Epirus,Grammos mountain and Prespes lakes up to the border with Albania.
Fellow defender2.net member Pouf and 3 other friends joined the ride,it was quite cold (-11 celcius on night camp) but the route was super,snow,ice,mud,iced mud,muddy snow,all the combinations Laughing
It was a celebration for me as i went with my new(to me) 110 USW,my first Defender after 12 years of disco 1 and disco 2 ownership..

jealous Big Cry i;ve seen a fair bit of greece igoumenitsa to thessaloniki via the old road,ionninna,grevena etc but in an articulted truck,you need your wits about you but not as bad as that irt series.lovely countryside and some great,rustic restaurants serving good honest GREEK food.

in my opinion the egnatia odos has spoilt the trip and put a big scar across the country,even if it has cut the journey ftom igoumenitsa to kipi (turkish border ) in half.

planning to do a trip down that way and will go and see a mate in athens so maybe meet with forum friends in ellas Thumbs Up
