Hi there.
I had a similar problem as im only 21 so was probably worse, when I went from station wagons to a pickup. Id recommend as has been said above phoning direct line. I was very surprised as they were a couple of hundred cheaper than go compare and compare the Meercat! Cheers Tom Defender puma dormobile camper |

My Land Rover is actually insured as a van, on a Van Policy because it is a hardtop (not a SW) so technically it is classed as a commercial vehicle, not a car. Regardless of my use of it. That's with Adrian Flux, who had to pass me from their 4x4 Dept to their Van Dept due to the above.
From your sig and gallery looks like your 90s are also technical 'commercials' so technically they are vans already and could/should (depending on the insurer presumably) be insured as vans rather as cars.... So I would have thought from that respect you could argue that you don't need any additional NCD for vans, as you already drive them... ![]() However, I would have thought the LDV tipper would be insured as a tipper, being a different risk class for insurance to an out and out van. Who knows, insurance companies all say different things these days so it depends who you talk to and what underwriters they deal with as to what is what! ![]() Yorkshire Off Road Club - http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net |

Sounds about right mate. Went through similar thing couple of years back. Think they mirrored 70% of my car no claims. Was about £450 on a transit connect van but I was only 24. Now built up some commercial no claims and it's come right down so could upgrade to a full fat transit now. Getting a commercial vehicle is abit like getting a first car have to start small especially if young. I'm lucky enough to have nearly full no claims on car, commercial and classic insurance policies. Just remember when you don't use one for a few years you lose all ncb on that type of policy unless you can keep mirroring them. 2001 TD5 110 County Station Wagon - sold

I was with Admiral with wife and mothers car when I had the 90 but swapped to a double cab and they wouldnt add it to the policy as classed as a commercial.
Best price I got is with budgetinsurance.com/Van-Insurance/ Added the Patriot Roof rack to the policy for free too. Good luck |
