Guns and Shooting
Do you have a gun[s], what type and what do you shoot?

Been thinking about re-starting clay pidgeon shooting after many many years.

Just wondered who on here shot regularly? BM52

I do, I have a Beretta DT11 Sporting Adj 30" and I shoot mainly English skeet clays but have to do other bits like sporting (Clays and birds), to keep me on form Thumbs Up

Just sold my 12G 682 E Gold, with custom 31 inch barrels and custom stock and had before that a 20G 682 E Gold and a browning 12G B25G, but will now always be a Beretta man Thumbs Up

Just had the interview with the FEO before Christmas for my certificate application. He said will be sent in a couple of weeks. All gear bought inc gun cabinet, just need the gun and some cartridges now! Will be heading down Silver Pigeon or Browning route most probably. Aim to do mix of clays and game. I'm on Surrey/West Sussex border so lots of places nearby.

I shoot clays regularly. I've got a Webley & Scott Sporter 3000 and a Browning B725 Sporter G5. Both lovely guns! An engine to TDi for!

I shoot feather, fir, and clay with

12g
20g
410g

17hmr
22
22-250

I am a beretta fan, if your budget is circa £1k go for a 686 over a newer silver pigeon.

Some nice Brownings with fancy wood can be had for 1.5-2k.

I started off game shooting four years ago, was lucky enough to have a boss with a large estate and clients to entertain. Now it is mainly sporting clays, my local ground has just installed a 130 ft tower so we get some amazing high crossers to simulate high pheasant. As far as guns, a Miroku 38 and a Beretta 692, both with 30 inch barrels. normally a once a week fix but not I am not sure this is enough!!!!

The above is just whetting my appetite Mr. Green

Regarding the Miroku 38, am I correct in thinking they are essentially a Browning 525 or similar? BM52

I think the Miroku was essentially a Browning made under licence in Japan originally. Mine is now over 4 years old and has been excellent and never missed a beat. It is a grade 5 and the wood is really very nice as is the engraving. The gun came with two fully open chokes and three Teague chokes (1/4, 1/2 and 3/4). A great gun and really very well made. I might be selling this soon as looking to buy a 692 trap gun so I can do a little more DTL. I now have a 692 sporting so the Miroku only gets occasional use when my son fancies busting clays.

A great fun sport in my opinion and helps clear the mind after a week of hassle at work!

Almost same as [Subtitute 22.250 with a .223] ... i mainly shoot/control vermin/pest species Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
