Hi Pickles,
I only picked up my new MY14 Defender on Thursday and had this exact same issue - I too thought the sub was faulty, but it was a small piece of protective plastic film that hadn't been removed at the bottom of the sub on the inside of the outer face. You just need to manoeuvre your hand under the front face and remove the plastic film and the vibration will disappear . regards Daniel |

Oldham, THANK YOU SO MUCH.....PROBLEM SOLVED!!
I've just been out to the garage & removed that piece of clear plastic film (I knew it was there, because I felt it yesterday when I was trying to locate the rattle!), I've played a CD again & the problem is GONE. Thanks to you, I'm a happy man. Have a Merry Christmas! My father was a Church of England Priest. he was in several Parishs in the Manchester area before migrating here from Abbey Hey, Manchester in 1958. In terms of your user name, are you from Oldham, my Dad was very good friends with a Priest who had a Parish in Oldham. Thanks again, Pickles. Last edited by Pickles on 23rd Dec 2013 10:38pm. Hi Pickles,
Yes I am from Oldham, a proper Lancashire lad! - glad I was able to help you solve your problem. I know how annoying that noise was and I thought that LR had not tightened something properly (sorry LR, not your fault ). The easy and free solutions are always the best and I am glad it has saved you an unnecessary trip to the dealers. Have a great Christmas Regards Daniel |
