Took mine in for MoT this morning, and it passed No advisories, good chance to have a proper look underneath standing up instead of crawling under on my back. MoT bloke was a die hard LR man and just pointed out a bit of future jobs, the front bushes on the hockey sticks aren't lasting too well, that's a pain because I renewed them back in June. I think that the supplier had taken them out of the blue box before he sold them to me! The rear cross member is starting to succomb to the tin worm on the rear face where you used to find the grab handles on Series motors, it'll be a cut out and replate job when the weather gets better.

I fitted the inner wheel arch mud flap extensions from Gwyn Lewis. Dead easy to fit and hopefully that will stop all the crud being thrown up onto the chassis outrigger. I had to powerwash huge amouns of crud out before I fitted the mud flaps.
Hoping they may also cut down road spray noise in the wet. |

MOT today came away with 5 advisories both swivels leaking and front discs need replacing very soon and rear wheel bearing has play, I new about the discs and swivels and have planned to replace all over the Xmas holidays weather permitting. Sorted the wheel bearing out today and also noticed the drive flanges had play so this was replaced and then checked and replace the other side as well. Fitted seat risers yesterday not sure if I like these, seems to high for me. Also fitted Bolt on Bits new LED H4 Lights they certainly seem to be brighter but I did have HID's in before but these packed up, not sure if they are as good though, only time will tell.

Hi Romadog
Great looking truck, I was on the club stand opposite you at the lro show and have to admit to taking a lot of photos of your front mud flaps to copy when I got back! So much better than the horrid looking little wings. Are they a bought item or did you make them yourself? Cheers Tom Defender puma dormobile camper |

I bought the inner section and brackets from Glyn, but bought the flaps from a local independant. Only as I think thats how he sold it on ebay. have to say its a great kit. I took my time and sealed as I went. Wasnt happy at trimming the wheel arch initially, but very happy having done it. Sailing Tom Thank you for your kind comments. Much appreciated. It has been a long time getting to this point and a lot of ££s. When I pulled up I noticed the Twisted guys having a good look, so went over and they said it sounded good. I told them that it was a poor man's version of a V8 110 as they had theirs on the stand. That was the fist time she had been driven any distance. I'm now turning from getting it built and on the road at whatever cost to now doing more jobs as funds allow. A transfer box change from 1.4 to 1.211 would help with running costs !! |

Thanks for that.
we were on the Mersea club opposite, I had a black 110 then which is on here with its new owner so was very interested in yours. Have to say it looks worth all the effort as was fantastic. You didn't have the badge on the back then so we were trying to work out what was in it, so feel your pain for fuel. Its worth it for the noise though! Cheers Tom Defender puma dormobile camper |
