Steering wheel boss for Momo wheel on Puma
I have been given a Momo Tuner steering wheel but no boss. It is a 350mm wheel (we have advanced to the metric system in Australia and I highly recommend it), which is good because the 400mm standard wheel is too big IMHO. Any ideas where I can get a boss to fit both the steering wheel and a 2010 Defender Puma?

fekete I think the mudstuff will not fit a Momo wheel..

Please note that Moto-Lita steering wheels are not a mass-produced product. All Moto-Lita wheels are handmade to order. We always try to maintain a stock of wheels and bosses but on occasions there may be a waiting time of up to 2-3 weeks for delivery. Call us to check availability.

Moto-Lita steering wheels and their bosses are not interchangeable with any other type of steering wheel or boss, eg: Momo, OMP, Raid, Mountney etc. We do not sell bosses for these wheels.

Please note that MUD does not sell the standard Land Rover style steering wheels shown on this page.

Guys,

Not all the Pumas have the same bosses.....you have to take your current wheel off and count the splines BEFORE you order, seems like there are 3 different possibilities depending on what was in the parts bin at the time Thumbs Up You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things

I bought a momo for my 110 (think it was 320mm.... too small anyway!)

but likewise i needed a boss, i ordered one off of ebay, and when it came, it was a nice groovy cast aluminium jobbie, and about 3" deep, which brought the wheel far too close to me for comfort (i'm pretty big anyway, hence why i wanted a smaller wheel) so this made it worse.

In the end i made my own boss.... got an old 4 spoke wheel, cut the center out of it, turned it down on the lathe, then got a piece of 5mm plate, cut it into a rough circle then turned it into a perfect disk. cut a hole in the middle for the splined center of the 4 spoke wheel to fit, welded it up and then drilled the holes for the new wheel to fit.

It worked great, although i've now gone back to the 4 spoke type wheel again, as this momo was too small for comfort.

never ends eh? Laughing Laughing

Here's the ebay boss:

Thank you for the responses. I will have to pull the wheel off this weekend and start counting splines to figure out if it is 36 or 48.

Hi Perspicacious,

Did you try contacting Autotek, for a Boss for your Momo?

I was told the boss kit for Defender is 5613, and is AUD100.00
