GGs will be fine. These boys usually end up driving around the mud anyway
Mud hole is, as lish says, muddy! Decent footwear does help As for the diff lock: it can be a useful place to test it out, although the areas I've been on have never needed it yet (though very aware of how large the plain is). Either way I'm sure you'll have great fun. Nothing puts a bigger smile on your face than plowing through mud whilst in a convoy of Defenders. I'm still yet to sort a CB out.... probably need some recommendations |

Must admit I'm leaning towards the handheld jobbies, saves having to install aerials etc for the brief use it gets each year

Generally you get "UK" showing on the screen display. If you've got other letters such as "CE" or "DE" you'll be on a slightly different waveband.

Just to let you all know, the "mudhole" as people call it, isn't a play site, it is just one byway through those trees.
People have made it into a right old mess, and the wardens/HQ SPTA tend to keep an eye on it closely. As we've seen before when parked up, a few go off piste to "have a play" thinking it's all innocent, but it just makes things worse. Then when the chavved up vehicle brigade arrive and really go to town.... |

cheers, perhaps I'll give it a test drive on the 28th. Saves me forking out for one unnecessarily. Think I used one on the plain a couple of years back and didn't notice any particular issues with it, but then I've nothing to compare against. |
