Here's my 'boy', he's a 16.1 Irish Sport Horse/Irish Draft cross, intermediate eventer (Clover Hill bloodlines, for the real anoracks...... ). Looks grumpy but is an absolute star
This is the day we got him - he's put on some decent condition since then and now has a much improved top-line. |

I suppose I'd better introduce my lot!
Click image to enlarge L-R Riley, Teagan, Roxy & Solly. Riley, Teagan & Roxy came from the same Irish Draught Mare, we took Riley on loan first (purchased a few years later) and then had the mare put into foal twice and Teagan and Roxy were the resultant foals. Solly was born a few months earlier than Teagan in 2006 but they grew up together, with the two of them playing around the fields while the mares kept a watchful eye on them. Roxy was born in 2008, Solly's little brother Percy born around the same time but he was sold on by his owner as a yearling. When Solly's owner passed away, there was not much interest in buying him we stepped in to give him a loving home, and the consistent work that he needed. We've since had a friend of mine take him on loan, though he still lives with the herd that he's known all his life. Of the four of them, I've got the strongest bond to Roxy (the youngest) through all the work I've done with her through to the stage we're at now. I first got on her 2 years ago (27th Dec 2011) and every time I get on it's rewarding to know all our hard work has paid off. These two pics were taken this summer, myself & Roxy: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And because this is a Land Rover forum, the trailer behind the 90: Click image to enlarge (the horses head vinyl stickers were done from photos of my horses by a friend of mine, search 'Sticky Bitz' on facebook if you are interested) Mark S CONVOY for HEROES www.facebook.com/convoy4heroes www.lothian4x4response.org ------ Td5 90 Thread in 'My Defender' Forum |

Click image to enlarge Here is Nigella, my girlfriend's horse. For Christmas I promised her that she could put a picture of Nigella on here. So here you are, Merry Christmas! Nigella is a 17.2hh KWPN x Hanovarian. Her uncle is Valegro of dressage fame or as I call it "dancing horses". I like this thread, it's helping my girlfriend to see why I spend so many hours on this forum. Nadolig Llawen Bows and Lucy x |

No longer have one of my own I used to have Chester (thoroughbred aka failed race horse) but he went a few years ago when I was looking after aging parents and working full time and not having time for anything other than mucking out. And Mick he was anything but a grumpy chestnut, skittish sometimes but most of the time so laid back he was almost horizontal. Now I only have a grand-pony (my daughter's fell) maybe when I get home I will stick a photo of murphy up. Mick knows him very well as he keeps losing shoes in the field to get out of doing anything too strenuous. Barbara |
