It's a superb bike Simon, in every respect. Tours well and is more than competent off road, well put together and performance undoubted. I reckon that, with my Defender, the combination is unbeatable. I do a fair amount of traveling and off-roading whenever I can and the only challenge always is which one to take.
If, like me, you can only put one bike in the garage make it a 1200GS. Mike '13 Defender 90 '10 Freelander '13 BMW R1200GS '62 Triang Tricycle Previously '04 R1150RT; '11 F650GS; '98 Defender 110; '03 Defender 90; '02 Freelander |

Good to hear Mike,
I keep watching Long Way Down and Long Way Round and just love seeing Charlie & Ewan riding those bikes. I just need that conversation with my Mrs (will be a bit like the start of this thread..) cheers simon |

It's a solid feeling when both your favourites vehicles have acquired 'legend' status in their own right.

Hey there kipperthedog, sorry man - at least you're in a Defender to cope with it. Not to rub it in but here's today's sky; something to wake up to.
