Tidal Surge unfortunate casualty...
Was looking through pictures in this article... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25253080

when i saw this picture:



Note the defender door in the foreground? Hope its a spare or removed for some reason?
If not i'd have gone down and rescued the poor defender which lost its life! Cheers, David

I saw that too. However, if you take a look at the website for Hemsby lifeboat station it includes some pictures of a Series III in that livery but with a tailgate/cat-flap rear, so I suspect the rear door was just spare in the building. Darren
