What LEDs did you use, how many do you need for all gauges and speedo? Cheers, Vincent

It's a good mod, I think you need 4 - the clock doesn't use one (annoyingly) and the speedo uses 2.
You can buy a kit on ebay - with all 4 LEDs for either old or TD5 spec Defenders. I still struggle though with the fuel and temp no matter which LED I put in, at night time I still can barely see them. This is due to the original pre-TD5 Smiths gauges being utte crud when it comes to illumination. Hence I'm switching to VDOs eventually 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top |

I bought 5, one for each gauge and 2 for speedo as said. I haven't wired up one of my gauges yet though.

I must I'm a little late with this one.
(I have neglected the old bus of late!) I've just fitted LED's to my dash, & even in daylight you can see a difference. Just a couple of observations, Do it in winter, as long sleeves will cover the gouge marks in your arm where you've struggled to negotiate the rear of the clocks. Do try to do this mod if your index finger has had close contact with the blade of a magimix the previous day. It can be a bit tender, plus it's mucky behind there, & your plaster will get very grubby! Ex RN 110 Station Wagon Never Raced or Rallyed |

I have got some Green Led's from Steve at Advanced Factors in my 110 as I wanted to keep the original color.
I haven't got a pic with me at work but will post one up later! Be warned though, the larger size plug ones are on order (I belive) as the ones I originally got were the thinner version which does fit but is too small and can fall out!
