Hi Lou regarding clutch I've had the 90 for six years and got it upto 130k
With no clutch change in my ownership, I have noticed I'm not as smooth when pulling away from standstill but Just thought that might be me (knee) but now that I think about I drive My little work van smoothly without any probs so could my clutch be past it's best? If so how much is a clutch and is it DIY job? |

Hav,nt bought a clutch for a while but the last one i bought for a Td5 Disco at work was £50-£60 for a britpart one then of course do you do the Dual mass flywheel while you,re in there ? probably a couple of hundred pounds for that.
As regards DIY or not yes its a DIY job if you,re fairly competant with the spanners but the gearbox is very heavy & cumbersome so an extra pair of hands is needed at times. Just a thought there are various remote servo kits available as many people fit them to classic cars that had no servo when new, just google "remote servo". 2005 Td5 90 XS Steve |

Same idea but servo is remote from the master cylinder and is connected in to the hydraulic circuit. The servo can be located anywhere under the bonnet that you feel it will fit.Have seen this system used on classic minis as the clutch is pretty heavy on them also. 2005 Td5 90 XS
