its all got to much for me and I've gotten rid........
Click image to enlarge should have done it months ago before I lost all my hair but then hindsight is a wonderful thing. so its cost me a bit but was it all worth it....... Click image to enlarge only time will tell but the initials signs are good......but as we all know with all good there's always some bad, and in this case is going to be a battle of will power to try and keep the right foot light and early signs aren't looking good Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge as she should have been from day one. there's been too many problems for me to want to list and I've no doubt you won't want to hear them again. I've just got to replace the handbrake cable now and then I'm sure she be running a treat......and then onto chapter 2. chapter 2. upgrades no big big money to throw at it but I'm looking to do a few things that will enhance the car both in terms of practicality and looks, but always trying to retain the original features as best I can. thanks for bearing with me for the last 3 years.......I can't help thinking if LR / their dealers were a little more competent this could have been sorted so much sooner |

I love my car too, but is unacceptable that LR solved defender's problems with our money!
Changed: clutch (different from the original one), turbo (different), egr ( different), map sensor, turbo actuator's harness (modification), key switch... Did You note some improvement in fuel consumption with the new MAP sensor? I passed from 9 km/l to 11 km/l but in congiunction with the new turbo. Anyone had some improvement in changing MAF too? No more rattle and the engine is smoother. But I guess that it is due to the ecu re-programming/upgrade the dealer made.
I don't know more, but I know that now is better, quiter and smoother. Ciao Vinicio https://google.com/+VinicioSelleri |

Wafu. Too early to say for sure but it seems to be sorted ie still some rattle but no more than I'd expect. Very very difficult to quantify easily especially at sub 1500 rpm. What I can say is above 2500 rpm I don't think there was any. Will let you know more tomorrow.

It's running much smoother but I don't hold out much hope for economy as I am without doubt using more revs.
Will keep you posted. |
