I chain up my 90 to a secure ??? fixing point with a 3" link chain approx 6mm
The wife went out the other day and set off and the chain broke ,the damage was the towing bkt Electric plug. I now chain it tighter so she/thieves cannot get a run at it . |

i also thought about a sturdy anchor point in the grown and a large chain around the towing gear (our boat is secured in this method), fortunately mine lives in a large very secure garage with 5 high quality cctv cameras.

Albert's post demonstrates the easy power. I am sure the driveway lockpost will act as a deterrant but if someone really takes a fancy to ur landy a post will not stopit on average giventhe average driveway foundations. I install massive posts on industrial estates and for descorts still knockthem out. I now rely on delay deterrants and its much much more effective. I hope everyone ofthemworks tho and hope im totally wrong!!

I park my 90 on a locked gated drive with the chain previously mentioned
However the best thing I have installed is a sensor (wireless) with the alarm In the bedroom . I park with the sensor directed at the 90 and if anybody walks Passed or moves the landi the chime sounds. To date approx 3months I have had no false alarms except when the landi is not On the drive and I see all movement on the neighbors drive. Brilliant buy at approx £36 off ebay. |

I've been thinking of putting a chain around one of the wheels like it was a bike?

I use a chain, 19mm (bar diameter) hardened steel links. The chain is attached to a large hollow lump of concrete under the block paving. Chain sits inside the hollow when not in use and is accessible through a gas stop tap cast iron lid.
To try and resolve the issue of a determined thief trying to drive off I park so that the chain is behind the 90 and looped over back axle. The only way out is backwards, the chain has more strength than the pull of the 90 and if the concrete lump gets pulled out of the ground it is big enough to foul the underside making getaway difficult if not impossible. I also have a security light that has a wireless alarm, came from marlin. |
