You should be okay with that. It's not cheapy foreign stuff premium instead.
If your engine is a 2.2 then you'll need and ISO adaptor. Quite cheap and plug and play. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I would recommend you check if at all possible if you have ISO connectors or not and attempt to fit. You'll soon realise if you don't as the plugs won't fit. If they do then you have ISO connectors and all is well.
If you find you can't fit it then just leave your HU out until you can get the adaptor. Info on the adaptor required here: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic22320....alpine+iso Why on earth LR even started to mess around with changing from ISO goodness knows. (One must assume it's an attempt to make things difficult and buy dealer kit) ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I ordered my 90 without a radio. But apparently it comes with a fitting kit. So Hopefully It won't take much.
But thank you |

No problem, as I mention have a go fitting first and see. You really don't want yo buy an adaptor that you may not need in the end. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

This thread was most helpful to me before buying a 2014 model year Defender with no ICE. Custom90steve and others know their stuff.
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic24355.html Look forward to hearing how your Halfords purchase fits and sounds. |

I nearly bought that same stereo..... But didn't- the salesman was a fat ignorant Cypriot so I decided to take my business elsewhere. From what I saw/ played with the showroom model it is a cracking little unit- and I was looking at paying 250-300 Euros just for the head unit. Granted that was a year ago, and Cyprus is expensive, but I would say you have a great deal there

If you don't yet have the ISO adaptor, take look here;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defen...OU:GB:1123 I've got one on the way, seems reasonably priced inc delivery. I took out the Factory fitted Alpine HU and the loom definitely needs the adaptor as others have mentioned. The one pictured 'looks' about right Either way, if it's not I'm sure they will exchange it since the description is quite specific. Fingers crossed this will integrate my new Kenwood HU and Focal IBUS20 Sub into the LR loom... I will post an update soon 2013 Defender 90 HT Range Rover Evoque |

Looks correct to me on sight.
Question - If the factor HU isn't ISO then how is it connected? Is the HU model specific to match the defender plug? As I have mentioned before I think it's a stupid thing that LR have done to change from ISO. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

The Alpine CDE-300 that came with mine has a socket that fits directly to the plug on the LR loom.
Its quite small and although wired differently looks VERY similar to the fitment on the new Kenwood I just got (which has an ISO adaptor included). I can only imagine it is cheaper for some reason to make them non-standard? There must be a reason otherwise it would indeed be stupid 2013 Defender 90 HT Range Rover Evoque |

Probably to try and make it harder and sell audio kit through the dealer such as dealer I.C.E packs and charge top dollar for a mid range system. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Further to this, the adaptor lead supplied by Dynamic Sounds (Autoleads part PC2-117-4) is wrong! The one they sent (as per the link above) is for earlier models but they are describing it as 2013 > compatible. The images below show the connector in my very new 2013MY 90. If anyone has any info on a suitable adaptor please share 2013 Defender 90 HT Range Rover Evoque |
