Well, the time had come to sell my trusty 90, been an awesome truck over the years and had put up with an awful lot of tinkering and tuning (did have a supercharger for a short while.... ) but it was just a little old and a little small for what I now needed....
Click image to enlarge So a bit of searching around turned up this... Bog standard farmers spec but low mileage and in lovely condition (bloke only used it at weekends to take his out) and an ideal starting point for what I was after. So, straight into the workshop (the same night I picked it up) for some fettling... Click image to enlarge and it now looks like this... Click image to enlarge It'll spend most of its life as a tow unit and support truck for my TR3 race car, plus a wee bit of recovery here and there, this weekend for example Click image to enlarge Couple of things left to do, southdown sills and a lot of wiring being the major ones, then I need to fit out the back - its never finished is it?! Thanks for all the comments folks
Ben, yeh I probably was grabbing some junk food, not from Papillion though! Peter, its just a plain old Bearmach bumper, not particularly fancy but I dont like tubular stuff and it offers bags of protection to the front of the truck (the scratches it's already accumulated bear testament to this ) Ross The Scotia Winch Challenge |
