As much as I do love the wolf wheels I have to say the sawtooths suit your defender colour better, good choice

I gave my new 90 a first proper clean on Sunday..
(Was then promptly ordered to clean the Evoke for SWMBO ) Looking good I thought Or should I say was looking good until about 3 days later and now looks like it's been driven through a swamp - I guess not an easy vehicle to keep clean Click image to enlarge 2013 Defender 90 HT Range Rover Evoque |

Had some free time today so I finished off Dynamatting the back of my 90.
I decided to cover both sides of the bulkhead as I'm mounting a sub on the bulkhead behind the cubby so I wanted some extra mass. Click image to enlarge I then covered the entire loadspace, arches, sides (upto the side-panels) and bulkhead with Dynaliner. Click image to enlarge The Dynaliner has a warm felt-like finish and works wonders on calming mid & high frequency sound reflections. In some respects it's a shame it is branded as without the Dynaliner logo's it would look very tidy. I have the fitted loadspace mat to cover the floor and arches and protect the Dynaliner I'm still undecided on what to cover the side-panels with so I've left them for now. Final job today was mounting a Focal IBUS20 sub to the bulkhead behind the cubby. The Focal has plastic feet with screw holes but I don't want to screw it down until I know for sure the final placement. In view of this I've used the sticky-back velcro strips that were supplied also. They seem to do the job nicely - It's certainly not moving. I also stuffed some cheapo egg-box foam underneath to cushion where it rests on the floor. Will be looking for some matt fabric to cover it and hopefully make it look less visible Click image to enlarge All in all a good days work although after spending around 4 hours crawling around the in back of my truck my knees are now officially fooked 2013 Defender 90 HT Range Rover Evoque |

do you think dynamating the bulkhead made much difference? ive just done the back sides and roof of my 90 and the floor well, have another box and contemplating other areas when i get a minute, going to fully do the under seat boxes...

Yes, I think so.
Without the Dynamat the panel is very thin and resonant. It now has a thud rather than a twang if you tap it. The Dynaliner has improved it further and also gives a much nicer finish. It doesn't use a huge amount either. If I wasn't mounting the sub directly to the bulkhead I may have done less (just Dynaliner perhaps) but I think it was worth doing to keep vibration & resonance to a minimum 2013 Defender 90 HT Range Rover Evoque |

Chris, Lovely 90, but is that your house in the background....Looks very interesting & "old"...We don't see anything like that in Aus, but being an old Pom, I'm interested in that sort of stuff, so is there anything interesting you can tell me...age etc? Regards, Pickles. |
