2012 Defender bulb question?
Morning guys,

Hope eye type is ok as not been on here for a while Sad, I was just wanting to know what bulbs (H4?, H7?, 501?) are in the front of my x-tech defender as I'm looking to upgrade to make the light more white/blueish and not the caddie power yellow so to speak?

And if you know any places were to get them from this would be a great help as want led side lights if pos but don't want to mess about with wires etc?

Cheers

Stu

hi Stu

I noticed you'd not been about - welcome back !

headlights H4, spots H7

PIAA UK HQ are just around the corner from you ... best bulbs, but stick with 55/60's for your headlights unless you have added a relay to your loom

Tim @ Mobilecentre is due to announce some 90mm LED spots to replace the existing on the SVX front cluster

We'll fitted the H4 bulbs and the new 15 led 501 side lights and look great Thumbs Up Thumbs Up , but .............. Went to fit the H7 main beam/spot lights and there H9 bulbs so will have to look out for those now, so if you have a 2012 X-Tech the bulbs are H4 and H9 Thumbs Up

Headlights and wipers
I was disappointed with the poor output of my original bulbs so have just put in a pair of Philips Extreme Vision +100 bulbs. For around £20 this is an amazingly good upgrade - bright white and a good range both on dip and main.

Another useful upgrade has been silicone wiper blades from Mudstuff - again Land-rover had somehow not quite perfected the factory originals!
