I always use strong screenwash, some use water in summer but unless fully drained/used up it'll just dilute the winter mix you use and could cause problems. Mark S

Old thread (and a very useful one!) but was just wondering if anyone had done it with a puma dash?
Have had a quick peek behind radio but couldn't spot much immediately... Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

In theory the only difference with the puma is how to take tha dash apart, but until someone takes photos of a puma dash apart to do this we're in the dark.
I'm really glad I did this mod now that we're starting to see salt & grit used on the roads again, even had a hard frost or two to contend with as well. Mark S CONVOY for HEROES www.facebook.com/convoy4heroes www.lothian4x4response.org ------ Td5 90 Thread in 'My Defender' Forum |

I have done this on a couple of puma's....
It is easy to get the dash out and then process of fitting the twin jets is just the same as a TD5. I don't suppose it can be done by removing the radio surround only (the centre 'console'?) Cheers, David

Removing the dash on the Puma is actually easier than more earlier models - at least earlier recent models (Series I, II, and IIA were easiest of course). It is time consuming and there are many connectors to remove and refit, but at least you can assemble it properly afterwards.
It is also interesting what you find that's been dropped down inside! Plus you can add armour round the 10AS unit and wiring. |

I see the pics have gone walkies, I'll see if I can get them added to my gallery & reinstate the instructions.
Anyone got step-by-step for doing this with a puma yet? Mark S CONVOY for HEROES www.facebook.com/convoy4heroes www.lothian4x4response.org ------ Td5 90 Thread in 'My Defender' Forum |
