Best person to ask is Pete him self drop him an email but I'm pretty certain if he has given your car the level of tune I think he would it would benefit greatly from an intercooler

A bigger Intercooler will always improve the engines performance, increasing torque, and allowing the engine to run cooler and more efficient.
A performance Intercooler also allows greater potential from the engine, which could be exploited with an appropriate remap. How much potential is used should be gauged depending on vehicle usage, condition, and personal preference. Regards, Gary |

The latest remap will compensate for a larger intercooler. I asked exactly the same question of Pete from BAS before committing to a remap from him, then I spread the custom and bought an intercooler from Gary at Alive. Hopefully it keeps everyone happy. I know with the results I certainly am!!!!

Thanks Gary and Steve
Steve i have sent him a email Gary, i understand the benefits and so on but I'm unsure wether the edu will compensate for the extra dense air and add the required fuel to compensate?? Also what other Mods can i carry out to get the best from the Engine? Many thanks Ian 2008 TDCI 110 XS 1985 90 300tdi. Gone 2005 RR vogue TD6. Gone |

If it's been done in the last 5 months it should be the newest version

The ecu will be just fine, with a bigger Intercooler fitted.
As to what other mods you could fit, your best off talking to the person who did your remap (in your case, Pete), and discussing your precise needs. As I touched upon previously, there are loads of things that need to be taken into consideration, and there are loads off accessories available from many sources, all of which differ in their own ways. Regards, Gary. |

I would like a Serck Intercooler as they seam good value. Are these recommended? I do a lot of towing long trips in the summer and a little off road use. Ian 2008 TDCI 110 XS 1985 90 300tdi. Gone 2005 RR vogue TD6. Gone |

a allisport works out roughly £120 more expensive than a Serck one so it the allisport worth the extra?

Its personal preference the biggest thing is you will end up waiting for a allisport one as they are rarely in stick I'm afraid

They all do the same. If you want unquestionable quality go for one of these. I did quite a bit of research befor committing and they are very good.
