My TD5 is in Tuesday for it's MOT as well.
Seat belts replaced, lights etc working, rear bushes replaced. Still can't find the mysterious small area of corrosion on the chassis near the nearside step mount - I reckon it was Salisbury Plain mud Fingers crossed here as well. Ferried wood and branches around, as well as getting 3 bales of hay into the back of my 110! (No cheating foldin seats down!) for the bonfire this evening...

Mine got dropped off today for its MOT tomorrow ... Not actually due until March but needs doing before it goes in the container bound for Botany Bay!
After the MOT we are pretty much taking it "off the road" so we can finish the last bits and bobs, do some trial packing of kit and the set about the mammoth task of cleaning it to within an inch of its life. Toothbrushes at the ready! Our shipper is coming to pick it up on 16th Dec so we have 5 weeks to get it all sorted Our blog - http://landytravels.com/ Yorkshire Off Road Club - http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net |

Got the car packed for the WRC recce stages tomorrow.
Checked oil & waters Topped up with fuel Radios, fire extinguishers, tools packed. Finally got the last stuck locking wheel nut off. As the pins in the socket had almost rounded off, I attacked the pins with the welder and then hammered it onto the stubborn locking wheel nut and with care managed to shift it with a breaker bar. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Are you sure your neck isn't actually quite sore? Are you finding it hard to sleep? Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge. |

Sat in flipping traffic if you can believe it! First an accident just before my off ramp then got caught in a go slow protest drive then a formidable South African highveld thunderstorm - that was magnificent! Didn't mind sitting in traffic - enjoyed my Defender. '13 Defender 90

Technically not a Defender but spent most of the day playing with my favourite toy!
Enjoyed myself so much it was getting dark before I took any photos... Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Cool! Any photos? The guy that works on my parents farm was telling me today about how he nearly bought an ex-BT 2b to use as a boat launch. In the end went for a 6 pot series 3 instead
