We use them cables all the time to power lorry refrigeration trailers on our vessels. Piece-part spares are readily available from most electrical wholesalers such as RS both the blue 16/32 ampere and blue/red three phase 63 ampere ones. Cable is available from companies such as Farnells. We make up our own cables to length but again any decent local electrical contractor should be able to knock you up about 25 cables in about 5-6 hours toil once you have sourced the piece-part spares or let them get the bits required.
Use the filters on the left-hand side of the page to get the voltage, orientation and current rating you require. http://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/connectors/p...mp;sra=oss If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Cheers K9F
We could make our own but the power's that be prefer we don't (H&S, not qualified sparks etc) Will ask around a couple of companies and see what comes back. So far between two companies I have a price difference of £700!!! 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Cheapest option is source your own items and just pay for the labour. Do not get hoodwinked into any longer than say 8 hours for 25 cables, that is plenty of time. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

As above we make our own, mostly out of swa light armour cable, pay more for mekensies plugs and sockets they are very easy to fit, not fiddly like others. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

We used to make our own cables but as not qualified etc the powers say no. Fingers crossed I have found a company that can make them up. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Ha, being on a lot of forums, i had actually forgot where i was and that i havnt posted here before. I read stuff here reguarly to learn, but not had any useful info to share. Don,t know much about my land rover, but know about cables as i buy them for work. No connection to any of the companies i suggested other than i buy from them at work.
companies i suggested in previous post (which i agree looked spam like) were: www.vdctrading.com/ http://www.ac-et.com/lighting/services/cable_express.asp www.rubberbox.co.uk (mainly sell distribution but i have bought cable from them) http://www.site-electrics.co.uk/ |
