I don't think I've ever seen quotes where there's over a £6000 difference, makes the breakdown cover look cheap!

What exactly is the vehicle, has it got a 6.2 tuned engine, go faster stripes and have you been done for drink driving or something?!! Seems very very expensive indeed.

It's just generally what a lot of them try on with young drivers IMO. They don't reward them for doing right or wrong. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

Someone I know who's son had recently passed his test was offered a 'black box' in his vehicle, it registered his speed, how he drove, hard braking etc and gave him a score, that was then fed to the insurance company and they scaled his next years insurance accordingly, great idea.
She says he likes having it because he can log on and see how he's doing and monitor his scores, they offered him discount a rate if he had it installed, I think it was £200 to install but it's proven well worth it so far, I'd have one fitted 'cos I know I'm a safe driver. |

Well teach your offspring to remember the treatment they receive from those companies at this point in time. As they grow up both you and your extended family could move your business to companies who appreciate your business. The insurance game is a complete racket as increasing numbers of customers are experiencing. They expect you to be 100% honest and transparent in your dealings with them and yet they hide behind a smokescreen of 'interesting' business practices. Each year at renewal time they are obsessed at knowing all about you, much of which appears unconnected to vehicle insurance and more to do with building up a database of you - so they can cross-sell/up-sell you more insurance for a dog or a holiday or critical health cover. Then if you ever make a claim they might catch you out on some minor detail that doesn't add up from 15 years ago - Bingo!they now don't have to pay out. As for insuring a Defender, it appears online quote services struggle to cope with any non-standard accessories or deviations from 'factory -standard spec'. Then if you contact a broker you get to speak to a teenage muppet reading a script who has zero technical knowledge (or interest). Why does it all have to be so troublesome? Why can't it be easy? |

gum, how about contacting the new site sponsors, A-Plan Insurance? From what I have read about this from Martin and others, you can have a one to one discussion about your needs, and they seem able to provide a tailor made solution in many cases.....
http://www.defender2.net/forum/a-plan-insurance-vf47.html You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
