I don't like the look of the new bonnet, definitely prefer the land rover name on there. Now everyone will start changing their lettering to suit. 130 crew cab

Presuming that the one I ordered a few weeks ago, and quoted for delivery on the 22nd Nov, will be the 2014 model?

CarbonEvora, you may just miss out on 2014. Im sure they do not start building them untill the end of November but I may be wrong.

It's still a defender, no matter what it says on the bonnet!

Personally I quite like it Smile

Keyless entry is just another thing to go wrong, don't see it coming. Note that the freelander base spec uses the same key, and doesn't have keyless entry. LR probably just want to have all their cars using the same keys Cheers, David

I assume DRLs still aren't required? Cheers, David

Is the new remote anything special? looks like it's just the plain old 10AS controlled lock/unlock unit, but in a new wrapper.

Very similar to the Evoque key. If the metal cover contains an emergency key we are in for a treat..keyless. LR could be fitting a different steering lock and removing the ignition key.

Doubt it does though!

Hope they're not going keyless or even electronic key. Look at the problems BMW have had with cars having new keys coded via the OBC (without needing an original present) and then going walkies.

Strange. Puma 2.2 for 2014 went from 122 bhp to 117 bhp for reason of compliance with EU5 emission norms. But the Puma 2.2 from day 1 has been compliant with EU5 emission norms. Rolling Eyes

AS the average jumbo jet pump out more CO2 in one tack off than defender will in its life time I think the EU needs To #####!!!!!!!!!

United Kingdom 2016 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Santorini Black
Hi - I am new to the forum and Defender's.

I have an order in at the minute for a 90xs SW Very Happy and the build date is down for 2nd December (apparently) and delivery for the 20(ish) of December, so will it definitely be a 14MY?

Has anyone got any more info on the 14MY model or are the previously discussed the only known updates?

Regards
Daniel
