Use a genuine part seal . I'v had 3 smashed screens in the past yr and screen replacement will always replace the seal at the same time . A new seal is no guarantee of dry feet so make sure they put plenty of sealer in all 4 corners . |

3 smashed screens in a year? Where the hell do you live? Any idea of best place to get one from?
I read somewhere that putting the new seal in some warm water before starting the job can help to get it around the screen. Luckily I'm not doing the work myself, a local chap who happens to work for a well known windscreen company has agreed to do the work for a bit of cash. I'd much rather pay someone who knows what they're doing compared to myself who has very little patience when working on cars... 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold) Looking for another to replace it. The road less travelled.... is a muddy one! Last edited by Josh K on 2nd Nov 2013 2:06pm. Edited 1 time in total |
