Germany 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Baltic Blue
Cheers - then I only have 3 problems remaining:

1) I'll need to make up new plates (as suitable ones are impossible to find for such a tandem) so I'll have to buy the right grade (hard enough) plate steel - any suggestions?
2) Will it really be strong enough to weld edge-to-edge (4mm thick)? Wifey and I aren't exactly light Whistle
3) Oh, how I wish there was a local engineering works around here - "hit-and-miss" sounds like good odds when trying to find a good welder in this part of the world. Problem is, I want a really neat job done...

If the answer to 2) is definitely "yes" and I can get decent plate, then I have a very clear plan of action Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
