Nothing exciting apart from Autoglass replacing my cracked windscreen.

x-isle, what did you find in the window frame? Moisture or anything? Did your Autoglass man use a lot of sealant. I remember some saying that windscreen out time is a good opportunity to do a better job at sealing than done in the factory. |

I asked him to take a good look and seal it. Then I saw the worksheet. Autoglass have to report back on the "condition of aperture". Surprisingly, it's all good! Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Just finished dynamating (the old silver, not like the above new slick black stuff) and closed cell foaming the rear sides of my 110. After all that I dusted off the TGE sides and put those on, wow it looks good if i do say so myself. ===================================

Finished earlier than envisaged today. I spent most of it fitting last bits of Dynamat to doors. I was aiming to get a door card fitted on at least one rear door. Well I did, after a lot of preparation with stud fixings, then trimming a slot for CDL cable tubing. Then spent a while looking for a window winder so I could re check that the window worked ok
Finally came to shutting the door.... That was when I found that there was nothing in the door jamming it, but the door card was hitting the B post of the roll cage Well the cage cant move forwards anymore, so what do I do...??? |

Installed my HD Galvanized roof rack today, its been well over engineered compared to my last one and others i've seen, but impressed non the less and it has a nifty fold away access ladder..

Went on the Land Rover Experience West Country trec. It was a good but tiring day driving over Exmoor. Went up the Luxborough Estate forestry vehicle tracks to overlook the South Wales coast, Steepholme & Fairholme in the distance, excellent views.
Then drove onto the Brendon Hills up to 1325 feet above sea level, & down through some very muddy rutted trails, fantastic views all the way. Rain disappeared, reappeared & it was sunny at Bromton Ralph where we ended up for a cream tea, before disbanding. Thanks to Minty, Paul, Lindsay, Jim & Bob + the other treccers for making it such a great day! No more until March 2014, trec season over. Fitted my new heated windscreen (well yesterday actually) but this morning when it was cold and wet it was amazing how quickly it cleared the mist - even without the blower on! Very impressed indeed. Looking forward to the first frosty morning now!
I bought the screen from Claire (forum member) and then made up my own wiring loom using a 40A relay and 27A wiring and running through a Carling Switch on my Raptor dash. The screen is only pulling 22-23A so this seems to be fine, even though I have heard of them using 30A. I have fused it at 25A. |
