yesterday I fitted an LED work light to the rear, I mounted it on the number plate light spacer to avoid drilling holes in the body work. I used the permanant live purple and -ve black wire behind the drivers side speaker cover as described on the forum, all went well, but a couple of questions
1/ Is there a plug available that will go straight into the LR socket, I've used 2 off male spades but would like a proper plug? (thanks ordered) 2/ I broke 2 of the metal trim clips holding the panel that covers the rear quarter windows, does anyone know the part number and where I can get some? (thanks ordered) 3/ I would also like some new trim fixings for the speaker housings (the round black ones thet screw together) again a part number and supplier would be great? (thanks ordered) 4/ which fuse feeds the purple wire? (thanks sorted) 5/ finally where is the best place to get some focal speakers to directly replace the LR ones thanks in advance : DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy Last edited by LR90XS2011 on 6th Oct 2013 11:41am. Question 1 you'll find something suitable here:
http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go...0493783816 Or here: http://www.dingocroft.co.uk/acatalog/Electrical_Miscellany.html Questions 2 & 3 I would go to your nearest dealers they may well have the items in stock or get them for you the next day. Question 5 I would 'pm' Customsteve (formerly known as Konabikes) If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Q2: From Microcat, trim clips appear to be BTR6682. Stick it into Google and you'll get loads of suppliers. The link is to Craddock's who were first on the list. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

thanks Steve the Speakers are still pending funds and time.
I used a fuse box from halfords and split the supply 4 ways 1 fuse for the work light, 1 for the Aux socket, used the same as yourself from MUD and positioned about the same position, leaving me 2 spares, I'm thinking 1 will be for additional interior LED lighting and the other will remain spare for the future. Already used the Aux Socket for a small compressor to blow up the bike tyres great. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |
