It's definitely a defender all the panels are odd sizes and fit badly

Washed, clay barred and waxed her twice so she should be ok in the salty roads of winter! I'm now knackered and need a bath

Haven't got Betty while Chris at CSK is working his dirty magic so made up the extension looms for the extra fog/reverse lights to be fitted at weekend
Click image to enlarge Bit fiddly feeding two wires into crimp slot for one but got there in the end ... only problem is I didn't count enough ends to make so waiting for postie to deliver two more connectors before finishing |

Sorted out the loose rivnut which wasn't holding my sub to the rear bulkhead in the dc very well. I didn't realise how much the amplified vibrations were annoying me until they stopped!

A few weeks ago I noticed my radio reception was getting weaker and weaker, the connection on the back of the radio was fine so checked the bottom of the Antenna.
I have seen bolts emerge from the North Sea in better condition- replacement was needed. Popped down to halfruads and bought a replacement, carefully cutting the old wire on the engine side of the bulkhead and then tapeing the new wire and connector to the old one. Sat in the cab and then slowly and gently pulled the old wire through the bulkhead bringing with it the new wire. Needless to say, the tape snagged and the connector got stuck and a neatly cut cable emerged into the cab with no new wire attached. Fast forward to today, having listened to all my cd's and got stuck in all the traffic jams I decided I really needed my radio so out comes the screwdriver and the dash. I found 2 dead wasps, a penny, a compass, a pencil, a bullet connector and lots of dust and the other end of the new wire! Hooray! After a bit of a fight managed to get it all back in correctly and sat listening to Radio 2 happily for the first time in weeks. Quick oil and coolant top up and a quick drive around the block to make sure I put all the squeaks and rattles back in the right places |
