If you take the door trim off and open the window you gan get to the nuts at the back of the top hinge. Just undo the two on the door side of the hinge itself and the hinge will swing out with the mirror attached with two screws from the inside of the hinge.

right, so the nuts on the inside are loose, cheers for that Not as a quick a job as I thought it could be then, one for the weekend

yes nut on the door inside are loose. the ones on the bulkhead are captive, but it is best to undo the door ones. so you dont have to reset the position of the door.

When you've taken the trim off close the door and then undo the hinge bolts so the door doesn't need re-adjusting. When you've done the mirror just bolt it all back together before you open the door.
