We did some amazing and pretty extreme laning last weekend. Lots of recovering and winching. What was most interesting for me was that the first lane was a real hidden treasure. I can only find one YouTube video showing it and it really is an absolute peach.
We did this in a 3 car group with my Defender 110, a DISCO and a Pinzgauer. You may have seen the 'crash' video that happened at the very start of this actual lane. So here is a lane in Machynlleth, Wales that the trip leader called The lane from hell Enjoy! Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos. |

lol. Secret in so much as there is very little online about it. Extreme in that there is no way in hell a standard vehicle is doing that lane! I'm not the worlds best driver but my truck is very well speccd and struggled in places.
A standard care would bottom out in the deep ruts before it got anywhere near the 3 serious climbs there are enroute! 3 to 4 years is a very long time in the life of a lane though. If you know it go back and see buddy Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos. |

Very good video, I know of a lane like that very very close to me that is quite extreme. You'd have no chance of getting down it for hedges at this time of year though. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Also depends which direction you drive it. Starting on the Western end is significantly easier than other way round. But as Tim says its possible in a standard Defender.

<more>Well I drove it in a MX5 with no engine or wheels with both my hands tied behind my back and blindfolded during flash floods in the snow.
Dead easy to find, dead easy to do.</more> The only real hazard was the locals, asked for directions and got spat at. Then realised he was just saying the town name. |
