Sorry to hear that, but the good thing is that the SVX decals are available from LR as individual parts. So you can order just the decal for a new bonnet, and the SVX will be complete again. Possibly good idea to invest in more secure bonnet hinges too which have been commented here frequently. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Not only hinges, also lock bonnet onto an engine lifting eye with a steel 'bycycle lock' type cable Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

A mate of mine went to buy a 90 not to far away a couple of months ago. They tried selling it as a my08 tdci tomb raider edition. I didnt think they existed so told him to take pics and show me. Cutting a long story short the 90 was a 200tdi resprayed with a personalised plate looking like an 08 plate with the raider badges and tdci bonnet. 16,000k wass the asking price. My mate went to see the guy again and there was no trace of the guy living at the house, the old resident said someone just left it parked their.
Makes you wonder whats happening with them. |

Prezzy - sorry to hear that. Mine went a week ago, exactly same method. Not too far away for it to be the same set of scumbags.

Yer, sounds like the same lot of scum!
Sercurity hinges ordered from 4x4 Overlander - might make 'em think twice about nicking it! |

Serious question - would you have noticed if they had spent 30 secs before smashing the window to unbolt both hinge bolts?
A layered approach to security is all well and good but I don't see these hinges doing anything much for you in this situation. |

It's actually not that easy to unbolt as by using loctite the inner bit turns as we'll so you cannot just unbolt unless you can actually stop the inner bit spinning inside the hinge
I think they are worth having 2020 P300 HSE |

Hopefully these hinges and a bike chain lock will slow them down enough not to bother.
But if they really want it they'll take it! They know where the car will be with a nice new bonnet on so i'm not prepared to give them an easy ride -this time! |
