Fuel Pump Whining... hard to start first time
Hi im new here and just gor LD Defender 110 TD5 2001year
came to me with fuel pump problem. Previous owner said he changed it properly.
Fuel pump conected wrong Blue Green White and Black.
After i tried to fix it Switched Blue and white so it became White Green Blue Black.
Whining stopped after self bleeding (5 times pressing on gas and waiting while yellow engine blinking)
And i can hear electric motor working BUT after like 1km or so Car shuting down and impossible to restart.
like fuel not coming pump making sounds like it is working.
Changing tubes back as it was before and car Restarts but pump whining.
Also i think its kind of same problem as it is hard to start the car first time in the morning.
Best i can do is same Self bleeding and Full pedal while starting and slowly 90% she starts after around 30sec.
Today got full tank of disel and car was up and running from first atempt in like 1sec Shocked
New battery in can 100ah.
Can it be just not working pump?(pump is working but probaly wrong ) or somethg bigger

Could it be the injector seals? Easy and cheap place to start.

Almost certainly injector seals and washers. Only use genuine parts when replacing them
