SHouldn't need changing- that is the bonus of a timing chain over a belt Thumbs Up Just change if there is a problem.

don't have a specific answer beyond the fact that timing chains don't normally get changed as a matter of routine.

As Glyn says Thumbs Up

We do a few on Transits, once they sound 'rattley' or have the associated starting issues .... but rarely see this until about 125k - 150k Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

No way would I leave a timing chain 125k .. Or wait for a problem I don't think so .. Ratchet mech in tensioner wears chain then jumps on inlet cam . If your very very lucky they break bolts on rocker shaft or not so lucky the bolts rip out out of head normally cracking where the bolt goes in
Good oil and changed regularly helps but after doing chains and seeing the damage I will not be taking the chance
There not bad to do and not a fortune ... To be honest I would rather do a tdci chain then 200 or 300 belt

We changed ours at 95k when we replaced the head gasket (2.4tdci) - the tension difference was noticeable although not significant between the old one and new one. Bit tricky to re-set if you have to remove it at all if the chain isn't perfectly aligned!!
