AMSOIL WITH CAUTION
Because I could not get hold of Castrol BOT 130-m (328) gearbox oil I went for Amsoil supposedly one of the best oils around, so drain old oil refilled with Amsoil FGR, on start up in neutral there was a gear chatter not unlike a really worn out thrust bearing and driving was fight time with the gears first being the worst. So I had no choice I looked on Ford forum sites and found a letter to a chap in Africa stating from Ford that this Castrol BOT is a ford oil, went to a Ford dealer bought 3Ltr ( part # 97SX-M2C200-AA) £15 each but back to a perfect gearbox. £35 pounds worth of Amsoil into the old oil bin. Sad
