Sounds like a good way of reflecting the hot Aussie sun off the roof and I bet it'll look smart with some other ali bits added. but I guess by the time you have added a rack/tent/water/fuel cans/jack/roo gun/ mrs macs pie storage box etc that it'll be largely covered over Look forward to seeing the pictures when you eventually get it. "Cold Climate Pack"?....Believe it or not, we do get some pretty cold Weather "Down Under", especially here in Melbourne. Plenty of frosts etc in Winter. But apart from that, the defender will be Wifey's everydayer, & she simply LOVES heated seats! I will put up pics as soon as "she" arrives....we are calling her "Gracie"! In Aus, one can order "personalized" number plates, ours will be "LRD 90"!! Cheers, Pickles. |

Clovelly - has she arrived? You said 'how gorgeous is she' as though you had posted a pic? But none. Obviously I am very very keen now to see yours which will be the same as mine. God I bet you are losing sleep with excitement? What made you choose your first defender then when there are many more comfortable choices out there - not least from Land Rover?

Hi smiles, I thought I'd posted pics. New to site and not very technical. Are they in my "gallery"?! Have just pushed a button to BBcode whatever that means, so hopefully now there?
Have just always loved the LR nothing else will do! Most of my friends don't get it, but I do! Let me know if you can access pics, she looks amazing and picking her up in a few days! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Yey I see them. Fantastic! It's so good to see my Defender already!!! Lol thanks.
Very pleased now with my colour choice and I'm really pleased now I've gone for the silver roof. You lucky having it already. I've always wanted a defender and one of has friends has had one for 5 years (TD5) and he loves it to bits. All our other friends think we are mad when the same money could buy a luxury brand sports car! But you either get them or you don't |

Oh dear, I've had a couple of friends with a defender trying to persuade me to change my order to Black or to Corris Grey with a black roof and now I am having second thoughts about my colour choice again.
I've looked at several pictures of the defender in the various colours again and am now thinking Firenze Red with black roof or Corris Grey with black roof. Either would still have the duel finish alloys and privacy glass. Help! This is the most I've ever spent on a car, by some margin and I'm now so scared of getting it wrong. |

Sackspeed, Colour combo looks fantastic, I have gone for Corris Grey on my 110xs, but dealer said it was too late to add the black roof. Was it a chargeable extra when you ordered? Also really like the wheel tyre combo, are they from Khan? Also, may I ask where you got the black chequer plate wing tops? Cheers Paul |

just plasti-dip the roof, much cheaper and you can remove if you change your mind! will also protect from corrosion! Cheers, David

David,
When you say plasti-dip, do you mean wrapping? Cheers Paul |

no! i mean Plasti-Dip! its a peel-off-able plastic coating which you spray off and can remove when you want to, but stays on well unless you intentionally peel it off as a large sheet
video explains all: buy it here! http://www.plastidip.co.uk Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |
