Having had a Stornoway Grey (much maligned by the Calmac staff from the Isle of Lewis who had actually complained to LR ... I pointed out there was also "Orkney Grey" but it just seemed to make matters worse!) I deliberated over a lot of colours for Defender number 2 and ended up with Corris Grey. Partly because I have been trying to do an X Tech lookalike, I would get bored with bright colours & white makes the ute look like a van. May not be everybody's thing but i'm really happy how it turned out ...

I have ordered it now, but am not taking delivery until March 1st on the new 14 plate. It's going to kill me waiting this long but I want to keep it for a long long time so it'll be worth the wait. For anyone interested I've ordered:
110 XS Station Wagon
Loire Blue metallic
Silver roof
Duel finish alloys
Privacy glass
Premium front seats
Tow bar
Full carpets
Boot liner & front mats (rear seats being removed & stored at home)

So excited!!

Great spec, and a good colour choice.
Your "wait"?...Only around 5 months, which is nearly as long as our wait, which will end in early November, after ordering 5th June.
Cheers, Pickles.

Pickles - it is the Keswick green colour that always causes the delay? Why is that?

Australia 2013 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 CSW Keswick Green
Well, I didn't know that Keswick Green aleways caused a delay, but it was always the only colour for us,...a bit "olde worlde", if you know what I mean.
But, in addition to Keswick, we optioned a few things like Body coloured flares, Part Leather, Cold Climate, Tow pack, chequreplate, Dual Finsh Alloys etc. BUT, the big "issue" for us, was that we also Optioned the Indus Silver roof, which wasn't an option in Aus, & which JLR did NOT want to do. I made a "special" request by writing to the Australian M.D., upon which they kindly agreed to do the Indus roof for us as a "one off"!
As far as Aus is concerned, there are limited Defenders available at any one time, so if the colours & factory "options", as distinct from "accessories", are not in stock at the time of your order, then the vehicle has to be specially built at Solihull for delivery to Aus, and the time from ordering, to building, to shipping, to delivery to Dealer, and then to us,......is around 5 months!.....But, we're nearly there!
What do you guys think of Keswick with the Indus roof?..."Traditionalists" probably will think it's a bit "blingy"...we don't think so,.....we think it'll go well with the alloy wheels & other silver/alloy/galvinized bits on the car, & also be a bit like some early English racing cars which utilized a similar green, also with silver plated exhausts/silver spoke wheels etc etc??!!
Cheers, Pickles.

That's a lovely spec you've chosen too Pickles. I love the Keswick colour and think it looks great with the white roof and wheels. But seeing as you've chosen the duel finish alloys it makes sense to go for the silver roof. I suspect it will look awesome and can't wait to see the photos.
I do have one question though, if you live in Australia, why have you bothered with the cold climate pack?? I spent 9 fantastic months touring Australia many years ago from March to December and never saw any weather that got close to cold!

Alfred - that's going to make a lovely Christmas present to yourself! Be sure to post the photos when you get it.
Is anyone waxoyle treating their chassis when they get it or having it done. I intend doing mine myself, does it affect the warranty? Any tips from someone who's done theirs already?
