iruffell, if that is how you feel about your Defender experience, good that you ridded yourself of it, hopefully the Defender ended up in a good home. Only thing left to say here is Happy D4 Sailing You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

I've just done the opposite. TD5 110, then a D4 and now back into a Defender (X-Tech 90 this time around).
As luck would have it, I just sold my D4 to a dealer in your neck of the woods. It's not a low mileage santorini black D4, by any chance? |

"how did i put up with it so long?" I thought that you had only just purchased the D4 If i didnt have a defender then I would have a D4, but not instead of, that was an option i looked at and happy with me 110. Happy driving |

I'm sure you're very happy with the D4, but at the end of the day it's just a car. A nice car, with four wheel drive, but still a car
Whereas a Defender is a Land Rover. And that's enough for me! |

I toyed briefly with the idea of a D4 instead of the Defender 110, but only because my head was talking - not my heart at that stage.
At the end of the day, I decided the D4 (lovely though it is) really is just a bigger version of the X3 I am selling for the Defender. And the X3 bores me rigid as it is just another bland, but brilliant car. Defender has character, spirit and nostalgia, not to mention making everyone smile when they see one. I hope you enjoy your D4, I really do, but can't help wonder how long it will be before you see Defenders and wish you were back in one. |
