Too much weight at the back - that's it - your NATO hitch Shocked

Nope can't find where the screeching / whistling is coming from. Started to strip the engine covers off today. Tried to speak to Alisport - would be easier speaking to the dead - think it might be the exhaust manifold but clutching at straws !

Will be dropping your NATO hitch back next week if that ok Thumbs Up 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

That'll be the exhaust manifold!! Did mine earlier this year, sounded like the alternator belt slipping to start with and gradually got worse. If you take the engine cover off look at the front exhaust outlet to see if its got black soot round it. I have a spare skimmed manifold here, once its skimmed it's unlikely to go again. Make sure you use some good quality studs (like Wurth ones) when you put it back. I'm off to the pyrenees for a couple of weeks so I'll get it when I'm back Thumbs Up

Your a star.

Yep found black soot around the front of the manifold. Others had suggested it but it seemed to extreme to be that. Will be stripping the engine next week and ordering something special as a replacement Thumbs Up

Have a great trip, see you when you get back 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top
