Hooned it up from Poole to Sheffield to take my partner's daughter back to uni. Put a middle seat in the front so was very cosy all the way up. Took the 4 seat bases out of the back to get all her gear in, how come girls have so much stuff?
Landy drove flawlessly. Gotta say, for an off-road biased vehicle it don't half shift on a motorway 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful 2007 110 XS DCPU - An itch that needed scratching 2005 90 Td5 XS CSW - Utterly brilliant 2001 Discovery 2 ES Auto - A phase I went through 1996 90 Tdi CSW - Uber reliable 1989 90 2.5 Petrol Hardtop - My first proper Landy 1985 Range Rover Vogue V8 -Troublesome |

Got myself a heated windscreen fitted ready for the winter season.
Just need to get that & my heated seats wired up. Could be a cosy winter. |

Pootled to Bo'ness to meet a certain Tank Engine. Loved it! On drive home another 110 pulled up alongside then went off sliproad, he seemed too intent on waving and not watching the road...straight through chevrons narrowly avoiding the grass verge
Came out tonight to finally dinitrol the underside only to find that my mates compressor is kaput...so still vulnerable down there |

Fitted crystal headlights, stainless outer rings and nightbreaker bulbs thanks to two site sponsors.
Found that the nearside headlight bowl was held in place by 4 different size self tappers 3 not even holding things in place, one adjustment screw was not even holding onto the bezel and the rubber gromet was on the wrong side. the bowl was split and someone has used two penny washer, two odd nuts and an odd bolt to fashion an adjuster screw, all the thread has been stripped off. The only things missing were sticky back plastic, blue tack and a cardboard tube. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Did a long route in the Peaks, took about 8 hours to drive it. Totally shattered afterwards, one lane put a few battle scars on the truck, so there'll be a lot of wax on wax off soon! Craig Rogers

Drained the oil, didn't put bucket in the right spot (the oil shoots surprisingly far once the drain plug is completely removed) and spend a nice half hour cleaning up oil. Good thing I had put a tarp down.
2 rolls of paper towels and our whole supply of rags later everything as good as new. This being the sub tropics (26°C is cold here) and Malaysian diesel being 500 PPM if not more, decided to go with "Fuchs TITAN UNIMAX ULTRA MC 10W-40" Put in 6.75 litre of the stuff. |

ooooh yes please - fantastic looking car:
Click image to enlarge 24-litre W12 engine, rated at 502bhp at 2200rpm, and with a scarcely comprehensible 1184lb ft of torque. Enough to push it to a top speed of 167mph. It is also the car that holds the Brooklands Outer Circuit record, set in 1935 at a truly astounding 143.44mph. |
