May your ownership be long and contented. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

That is a TOP looking "90".
The A bar & lights are very tastefully done & realy suit. What make is the bar, & what sort of lights are they? Cheers, Pickles. |

Sharp looking vehicle.......my hat has been taken off!
Personally, just as a friendly suggestion; I`d install the head light guards to really finish off the front! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defen...0827353256 Love them at the rear too: http://www.a2stainless.co.uk/Land-Rover-De...AFE38.aspx Cheers, Rant Lover |

Looks really good, black wheels would look good on Corris (?) , roof rack will look great, I'm looking at the flat dog on, if you search you'll find some images on a 110. Seem well priced Defender 110 xs Utility

Are metal A bars legal for new vehicles now? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Yeah, thinking about black wheels, really want some sawtooths but so expensive! Maybe just powder coat the boosts. Was quoted 60 quid per wheel.

With regards or the metal a bar, I asked the supplier who said they were ok. But after doing some digging I'm not so sure!
Although where I live there are new defenders everywhere most of them with metal A bars on them. I'll take the chance but if it comes to it I'll take it off if need be. |

Very nice so far...
These guys custom make every roof rack, so I presume it could be powder coated and specc'd to match everything else - MCB 4x4 Ltd, they are in Huddersfield and on e-bay - £300 plus delivery at £50. I've not got one, but they came up in my research. |

No, definitely not. I believe there is a loophole if it is part of a winch bumper and winch set up similar to the ARB setup although you'd need to convince your insurer. Although lots of companies will sell them as ok plod may take a dim view and the insurance co would have a reason to invalidate your policy.
