Defender porn Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Unfortunately for various reasons including two Land Rover shows we have not been able to get on with Zahys fantastic truck but this weekend we finally managed to get together for the final 'push'
To recap, FCX have installed the following (you'll see other companies work in the pictures as well - ours is only what is written here) Speaker LED headlights (with Stainless steel bezels) - black background really suits this truck Speaker front LED sidelights and indicators Full set of SVX LED rear lights Mobile Centre numberplate light Full leather retrim in 'grainy' leather (both smooth and perforated) with orange stitch to all of the following: Front 'Premium' seats (I believe FCX are the first company to retrim the Premiums) Rear seats (and backs - again a first for FCX) Four x dash panels (including installing an MSS opening glove box kit) Retrim Zahys own Momo wheel and aftermarket boss (we are changing that to a genuine Momo one) Steering column cowl (including modification to fit handsfree mic) Windscreen trims Front door panels and handles (after extensively Dynamatting the inside of the doors) Rear door (inc Dynamat) All four rear window surrounds (including orange LED 'accent' lighting) The four 'top hat' covers for the rear seat hinges (another FCX first) Rear speaker panels (with the inclusion of two 12v power sockets and two twin USB sockets) FCX steel cubby box (with additional gas strut lift, 12v power socket, twin USB socket and internal LED illumination) Handbrake gator Genuine SVX gear levers (supplied by Zahy) This has been a flag ship install for us, not without its problems and we haven't finished yet (the end of this week) but we very much thank Zahy for the business and his patience (although changing his mind on the leather colour after start was ... challenging ) Here are some pictures of the latest work (this weekend) My son Harry stripping the door in preparation for Dynamat Click image to enlarge Dynamat to outer skin Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Dynamat to inner skin (I know i've swapped doors ) Click image to enlarge Dynamat to rear door Click image to enlarge Finished door passenger side Click image to enlarge Drivers side Click image to enlarge Taking the gear levers off to install SVX ones (this isn't required on standard levers if you were thinking of buying our leather clad ones ) Click image to enlarge This is the powered sub that Zahy is having fitted (it also has a 2 channel amp within to power front or rear speakers), we have made up an MDF mount covered in carpet but a specialist audio company will be 'cabling' it up Click image to enlarge Excuse the state of our 'temporary' workshop. We don't officially 'go live' with installs until next year when we will be full time along with a full time Land Rover specialist mechanic (Paul Johnson for those that know him) Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Right back at you Zahy, your choice of colours and the 'texture' of the leather along with choosing which parts you wanted done (actually pretty much everything) is annoyingly inspired !
Rear cameras (yes plural, there are three of them) installed last night |

Thanks Les
Probably, but it wouldn't be insurmountable and the benefits I think outweigh that downside |
