Hi all,
I have a 110 Td5 hardtop and also a new bambino on the way. I'm looking into doing the arch modification from CSK (see link below if you're interested) and puma rear third-row (for a 110, second row for a 90) folding seats in the back, but was hoping to hear from those of you who have a puma/tdci about those rear folding seats... Can an average person (say 5' 5'-8') sit in them and see out the window easily, or are their eyes just about level with the aluminum above the window when they are sitting normally in the seat? Anything other comments about them welcome... such as how comfortable they are, etc. Cheers, John http://www.csklandrovers.co.uk/mechanical-...-upgrades/ Last edited by austinhealey55 on 18th Sep 2013 10:24am. I guess it would be the second row/load area seats for a 90 and the third row in a 110, each of which on the 07+ models use the new style wheel arches and folding seats...

@SteveG -- Is that for a puma/tdci w/ the revised wheel arches? There's not enough space to fit between the seats to sit down in them? From pictures I've seen it looked to me like a person could get in and out without flipping them up, as compared to the old style which had zero room between the seats when both are flipped down...?

Yes that was for the LR forward facing seats. I'm sure someone will come along and say that you can easily fit between the two, but they are obviously a better contortionist than me.
The gaps not wide enough to step through straight on, and for me, I can't stand up straight in the back of a defender to shuffle through sideways. I'm sure you can squeeze though, but it's neither easy or convenient. Go to a dealer a try them out for yourself, most LR dealers will have a csw 90 or 110 in stock with the 3rd row seats. Cheers Steve |

Third row Puma seats combined with the genuine cargo rack will put whoever sits in the seats in danger of being turned it handy cubes of meat in the event of a hard frontal impact. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Unfortunately I live in Nepal and there are no Land Rover dealers here. There are I think three Tdci/Pumas around, perhaps I'll catch one and ask if I can sit in their third row seats for a minute ; ).
Hmm, a friend's 1998 110 CSW was I think scrapped recently here. Wonder if I could take the rear tub off that and put it on my Td5 HT? I've seen a few people who have done this online, but figured it was a "same generation" swap. From what I've read there's an extra cross member on the station wagons, but otherwise it's bolts? Perhaps a question for the another section now... |

i'm 6'2" and sitting in the rear 3rd row forward facing seats of my 110 is awful. The TD5 sideways seating was much better and more comfy.
They are fine for my kids, both under 10, but for adults they are really only OK for very short journeys. They also take up all the space in the back. Again, TD5 seats were better in my view. |

So right after I post that there's so few I run into the only tdci in town and was able to try them out. Was surprised at how high one sits, and definitely no good view out of the rear window. Bummer that. Thanks for your responses everyone.
