2007 110 SW Puma TD4 - no electrical mods except installation of a TrailAir
When I lock the car with the fob, it appears that the alarm arms. I get three flashes from the indicators, and the rapid flashing of the red dash light for about 10 seconds, followed by the normal flash every 10 seconds or so. However, when I unlock the car with the fob, I get no flashes from the indicators, and what appears to be a code of some sort from the red dash light, a series or rapid double flashes over a period of 15 seconds or so. Is it me that is being paranoid that the alarm is trying to tell me something? or do I remember correctly that the indicators should flash when the alarm is deactivated, and that there is no particular flash pattern from the red light? Thanks for any light that can be shed on this, Jon PS of course it might not be the alarm, but the immobiliser or some other part of the landrover "security" system....... |

It's trying to tell you that the handset battery is on the way out

Ah yes, but to search for "handset battery", you have to know that the alarm is trying to tell you that the handset battery is dying......
