Canvas glue or sew ?
Is there a recommended glue to attach this chimney hole to my canvas 9x9 ? Or would you rather sew ?

Personally I would sew, it'll retain flexibility and last longer probably than glue, but that is just personal preference. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

I mend horse rugs, you'd be surprised how watertight the owners want them to be! But dress their kids in Primark clothes...

Machine sewing that in place could prove a little bit awkward unless you have a machine with a long arm.

Hand sewing, to get it neat without practise??

Gluing could have problems with flexibility etc.

So possible alternative suggestion is to use self adhesive sail repair tape. Cut your hole, place it in position and use sail repair tape on both sides. Use some bits of wood either side and some g clamps to get things to bond together. Just a suggestion have never use this technique to fit a chimney section.

Could also be done after sewing, would hide any wiggly stitch lines.
