How about exhaust? Turbo might be a bit too expensive as it is variable vane (I belive), and also think about your drivetrain.

When I was into my performance turbo cars, the big bolt on differences were: air filter, intercooler, intercooler pipes, exhaust and a re-map.

Now, now boys!

The truth is coming out! A couple of fighting boy racers in our midst...

Thinking of spinners, neon underlighting and spoilers for your Defenders?

Looks lik I would have eaten them both alive then Wink. 350Bhp, just under a ton running through a LSD.......providing it is dry so I don't eat my bearings Whistle. It used to be the best thing ever sitting on a Scooby/ Evo's tailgate in the outside lane (Private road) and then take them to top speed followed by cruising by.......in a Rover- The shame!!

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Mate....ford struggle to get 300bhp out of a front wheel drive with a limited slip diff and thats on the current RS the scoobies were just as quick in the wet as well.

I would of toasted ya on those nice twisty welsh roads....miss my scoobies in a way...the noise was fab and the RB5 i had is now something of a collectors car after he met an untimely death Crying or Very sad

I wish i could post some pics but my ex wife burned them all, along with my clothes, cds, fishing gear etc, etc Big Cry Big Cry You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things

That is Ford though.Using simple 'cheap' Torsen tiffs never work. I was running a Quaif diff which was awesome..... other than when it was ripping my arms off in 1st gear, but once rolling it wasn't a problem. Also remember that the Rover turbo was actually faster than the Escort Cosworth in most ways but Ford got the market because they sold the 4WD thing so much.

The sound was awesome....untill every 18 year old in Southend's car sounded the same Sad spoilt it for me.... but with a 400+Kg weight difference I reacon I could have had the edge. I am sure I can find a pic or two Smile

Glyn Sheep

Not to mention that I spent a total of £900 for the car and then another £2000 to get it up to full race spec.
