The Deed is Done!
Dropped vehicle off yesterday morning, collected it today. Outstanding service from both Landyglass and my local fitter. Another security layer and a certain uniqueness in my area. A few before and after pictures....

You can make your own minds up. I am happy...... Thumbs Up

Cut a hole in the HT side simples Ive gone the other way images soon !

To make it nice La-Salle trims would do

cut your holes fit the side trims and mark up for triming remove the trims fit the glass

re fit the trims which are now trimed to the exact hole size

Simple really

Outside step by step HT fitting guide. No interior pictures unfortunately but you do catch a glimpse of the inside on a couple that you could pause and study.

In terms of ease of replacement what happens should one of the panels get smashed? Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.

No idea whatsoever! Assume a replacement is sourced and subsequently fitted like any other bonded glass panel?

I love the idea but wondered if a border that matched the upper surround of the drivers door would draw the two halves together:

I can see your concept but if it was an option I don't think I personally would have taken it. I like the plain uncomplicated look. You could of course just increase the aperture of your existing window and have a piece of glass made to measure to fit perhaps?

Bandit....They do a slider too, but with aircon and the fact I haven't opened my sliders in all my years of ownership I discounted it.

It looks great on black defenders but it looks out of place to me on a grey one

^^^^

That's funny that is as the ftter stated he had fitted Landyglass to a black Land Rover but in his opinion it looked better on the grey.

Laughing

Shows how opinions differ. It's going in next week to be sprayed black by the way. Thumbs Up

**EDIT** Thanks Gum just cancelled the respray booking! Rolling with laughter If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
