£23,500 incl vat or no vat - Just if including vat that would make it very attractive as a business purchase - not me as just bought a 90 - but might help selling 2020 P300 HSE

Have you tried offering it to Nene? He pays strong money for cars like this. Bought my 110 for £2k more than dealers were offering. 1951 80" S1 2.0

I suspect the x-tech's are hard to sell quickly, as they didn't exactly fly out of the showrooms when new and a number were discounted to shift by the dealers. There is a small percentage of Defender buying public that want a top spec 90 in a van body.
May just pay to be patient at your price, if you can. The other alternative is to spend a bit of money by sourcing some genuine side windows and rear quarters, bulkhead bar and spend an afternoon converting it to a Station Wagon. This would certainly widen the potential buying audience. Thanks Steve |

Thanks Steve" steve i kind of disagree with this, my 90 bought from new from dealer with every possible extra you can get from the dealer, ehcih at the time i thought i was mad to do so, for a shooting and working dog moto, but then my craze continued and i ve added an endless list of options costing fortune, every friday i drive my landy to my office in West London, and on numerous occasion i was made a very generous offer at a very good price, more what i have paid for when new, there is huge market out there you just need to know where to market it, i personally surprised that this particular one has not sold as i have some friends are looking for the genuine x tech models, it is not a secret that cars do not sell well here in this forum. maybe you need to list it somewhere else 2.2 90 XS |

no real wonder, we all have one (or more than one) already..... You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Hard to when the stats prove otherwise. As I said before, it's a small percentage that buy top spec 90 hardtops. So you have to be patient when selling. By the way, I just saw the post of your 90 with the excellent work that FCX are doing to it. Don't you prove my point as you bought a 90 csw?? Cheers Steve |

I sort of agree with Steve as many people will go for either for a 110 USW or a 90 CSW rather than a 90HT.
Farmers etc mainly buy the 90HT as they work well for them, but generally they go for cheaper spec, many business who can get the vat back when looking at a 90HT or 110 USW usually go for USW as more versatile. Private buyers generally buy 90 CSW as they are leisure vehicles rather than working vehicles. Me I decided on 90HT as get the vat back & a van for BIK - so if only used home to work no BIK at all. After 4 years will buy it off the company for a fair price add landy glass & its back to a leisure vehicle with more appeal to buyers - only certain people want to drive around in a van 2020 P300 HSE |
