I registered as owning a Baltic Blue, but only 'cos Loire not yet in the drop down menu for the Forum. indeed I don't actually get it until next week as a sparkly new 63 plate . Looks to be a great new colour. The LR website only shows it when you "configure" yourself a brand new Rangie. Seems like their Defender site is a bit in the slow side, but that is no surprise

From what I've seen in photos the 'new blue' looks very similar to Oslo Blue. Which is, of course, the best metallic blue and looks very smart on any of the LR models. Our blog - http://landytravels.com/

Lovely! If I could afford a new one, that would be my colour choice. But then I have a soft spot for the dark blue metallics - since I had my 1989 Caspian Blue Range Rover
I think the new Loire blue might be just a tad sparklier but otherwise very similar to Oslo Blue - but maybe doesn't have that slight purple-ish tinge - the new one is a lighter blue maybe? Here is mine in reasonable light conditions and just washed, to compare Click image to enlarge Our blog - http://landytravels.com/ Yorkshire Off Road Club - http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net |

Afraid I'm unqualified to comment, a new arrival at the temple of Defender worship. Always loved the cars, but prior to this year I was only ever aware if them being 'green' or 'blue' or painted in work's liveries...

If I am lucky I will collect my new 110 in Loire blue next week. When I chose the car there was only Baltic blue on the website but by the time I got to Jeremy's desk to order, Loire blue had replaced it. Jeremy got the paint chips out for both but I was not able to discern any difference between them, even when compared against a Baltic blue Discovery.
I chose Baltic/Loire blue as something different to all the grey ones around, I hope it does not become too popular! Chris |
